Studio Luce's writing retreat is brought to life by a talented team, but Studio Luce Books is the creation of Co-Founder and Director, Ben Crisp.

Ben is a producer of original creative content, spanning videography, web design, social media, and copywriting.

​

As an author, his debut short story collection was recently published by Bridge House, under the pen name Ben C. Davies, with a new novel currently in the works. He is an editor at the Ginosko Literary Journal and a member of the San Francisco Writers Grotto. He teaches at California College of the Arts.

​

With three years of experience marketing books and authors, Ben also brings four years directing communications for a Guatemalan nonprofit and five years managing communications for a UK-based design consultancy. Holding a Master’s in Journalism, his portfolio features diverse publications.
